Hi Diddlee Dee ~ A Painter's Life For Me

I've been getting a lot of emails and inquiries about my piece titled Naughty Boy from my Wonderland show at Copro Nason Gallery in '08. The original was sold long ago, BUT there are prints available in store and online!!

Not just your average print, NO - these are exquisite, hand varnished, giclee on WOOD in an addition of 30. All signed and numbered. I'm not sure how many are still available, but you can definately find them here at COPRO NASON GALLERY. They measure 16"x13"x1.5" - which turns out to be quite close to original size. They look so super awesome on that wood, I'm stoked. I have one of my very own on my wall, it hangs nicely and plays really well with others - if I do say so myself!

I love love love Pinocchio, I always have since I was wee. The Disney movie is huge in my catalog of inspiration, you can find tidbits of Pinoc in a lot of my work. (Pleasure Island was my inspiration for Yummy Town Carnivale in my book So Good For Little Bunnies!) In the piece, Pinocchio is sitting on the "steps" of a pumpkin, somewhere just outside the chaos ~ regretting his recent naughty behavior. You can see the glowing roller coaster in the back, and his baby little cupcake beside him still taunting him to go back.

(Lookit this old album!! I wish it were mine!)

It's funny, when I set out to create that Wonderland show, Naughty Boy was the first thing I painted. I wanted to do a Story Book theme, initially. But then as things went on, my focus shifted, and Naughty Boy seemed to stand alone in it's feel and I wasn't going to include it with the show. My husband talked me into showing it with the others, and it ended up being the star of the show!! What? Sometimes the artist can be way off base. So for those of you interested in the print, GO CHECK EM OUT!!

*Thank you to all you LOVELIES out there - your encouragement, emails, comments and support mean the world to me. What would I do without you?*

Hi how are you?

I was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not leave you a comment.

I too have a blog that I use out of Southern California here in San Diego.

Mostly it is a collection of artistic expression, and I have many friends with the same interests, maybe you can become my friend, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.

Well I hope to hear from you soon, and or read about you….LOL

Sincerely,
Jesse
