Babyboss Magazine Feature
Babyboss Magazine featured my artwork in their 8th issue for April! They're based in Indonesia, and I was so excited to get my copies when they sent em out. Their pages are both in Indonesian and English which is really crazy to see.
I'm super pleased with the layout and interview - and plus, the name of the piece is "The Natural Talented Lady" which makes me really happy because it's so weird and funny!
The English was kinda broken a little bit, so it made it kind of innocent and fun to read. Like this:
"...She is lucky enough to have such supportive parents. When she was kid, her mum would gave her and her siblings a white typing paper and a huge box of crayons, and they spent hours drawing, laughing and fighting with each other..."
This part at the end is called "Fun Facts" (Hee Hee!) and it says:
*If she could transform into a color, she wanted to be red because it screams.
*She loves freedom.
*She hates being tickled, hates that she loves ice cream so much, and hates the post office.
They chose odd pieces to include (I think, anyway) like these little matchbooks I had done for the freebie giveaway (to the 85-100 attendees) at Baby Tattooville last October. But I like that! Super job Babyboss! Thank you Godot & Grace for the special feature!!

Thursday Happened To Be The Best
I got out of my work head yesterday...and it was glorious!! I went out into the world to see what I could find for inspiration. I found a lot. I found a carousel just sitting there waiting for tiny children, a mermaid starring out from inside glass, a delicate bunny sitting atop a pile of saucers, nesting dolls painted all pretty - smiling and carring on, and a carousel panda - the star of the crowd. It was a great day, I even brought home some of it's wonder, for my very own. Thanks Thursday, yer the best.

Humtptys For Sale Soon!
"...And how exactly like an egg he is!' she said aloud, standing with her hands ready to catch him, for she was every moment expecting him to fall.
`It's very provoking,' Humpty Dumpty said after a long silence, looking away from Alice as he spoke, `to be called an egg -- very!'
`I said you looked like an egg, Sir,' Alice gently explained. `And some eggs are very pretty, you know,' she added, hoping to turn her remark into a sort of compliment.
`Some people,' said Humpty Dumpty, looking away from her as usual, `have no more sense than a baby!..."
**My Humptys will be going up for sale through my website shop soon! They had their professional pictures taken yesterday, and they were very gentlemanly indeed. (¡They each got a peppermint for being so good!) There are five Humptys total, varying in clothing and in nature - all hand-crafted and hand-painted with much-much love. Keep a look out in my shop for their debut soon!!**

Happy
I'm super happy with all the comments and entries - great job! I'm officially naming this giveaway "Pair Of Twos"! Each winner (10 lucky happy people) will receive a pair of hand-drawn uniquely original playing cards (2). They're graphite and color pencil on paper made to look vintage and whipped up special for this event. Oddly enuff, there are no 2s in the series, and that's what makes the name fun for me. You people are making me very happy with all your double happy things, and I can't wait to find out who the lucky people are! I'll be drawing numbers out of my old bingo turner thingy (??), so it'll be completely random and fair to all who enter. Yay? Two more days to go, keep em comin - and follow my blog!! Wooooo!!

Humpty and Cupcakes
I've been madly sewing like crazy the past two days. I've made three Humpty Dumptys!! I'm pleased with the way they turned out, pretty funny looking. They all have long spindely legs which are wrapped up in long tiny socks, some little knee caps and elbows, a baby little diaper, a jingle bell heart, twirly-swirly hair and rosiest cheeks!! Their little faces are painted with acrylics, and everything else is hand sewn goodness. Here are their pictures that they sat nicely for, and some cupcakes I found around town on Mother's Day! I haven't decided what I'm going to do with them yet, but I plan on making 2 more...
Also, here is a kind spot light on my work, thanks to the super folks at Ventvox.com! Check it out!!

Night Terrors, What Do You Want From Me?
~A NIGHT TERROR, also known as pavor nocturnus, is a parasomnia disorder characterized by extreme terror and a temporary inability to regain full consciousness. The subject wakes abruptly from slow-wave sleep, with waking usually accompanied by gasping, moaning, or screaming. It is often impossible to fully awaken the person, and after the episode the subject normally settles back to sleep without waking. A night terror can rarely be recalled by the subject. They typically occur during non-rapid eye movement sleep.~
A little departure from the usual post - I'm dedicating this one to all the NIGHT TERROR VICTIMS around the world. ~_~ ...zzzzz
Last night I had a night terror. I woke up to this slice of a man (think - a man sliced into thin slivers like a piece of balogna, but cut so thin that you can see right thru him) hovering over my side of the bed. I was a little grossed out, but pretty sleepy, so I just kinda scooted the covers away and I knew he was so thin he'd blow away. He did, but then I woke up again when he finally made it up and floated down onto my legs. That's when I freaked out and made a fuss. The other night, I had another one, but this time, I was scared because our bathroom (which is closest to me) was a bloody meat locker. I woke up and flipped out because apparently, I had already told my husband that I didn't want to sleep over here next to all the sides of beef. I hated it.
When I was younger, I would wake up in the middle of the living room, trying to convince my mom that there really WAS a styrafoam spider doing a jig on my pillow - next to my head. (She never believed me...???) But more recently, when stress is really a problem, I've woken up screaming - paralyzed and terrified - my heart pounding on my ribcage, shaking like I'm about to be massacred, starring WIDE-EYED at the white-nightied bum lady, head down, shuffling across the room. Or the freaky ghost being floating in the corner of the ceiling. Or the spiders scurring out of the huge spider egg hanging in my face. I've hurt myself on occasion, trying to get the hell out of my husband's grip, him telling me it was okay and there were NO Lincoln heads popping up on the side of the bed. Bruised and blundered, bonked and scratched, I've had quite a time with it. So has he.
If ANYONE knows what I'm talking about, knows someone that has them, or has them yourself, what's up? It's a wretched pattern, and I'd love to hear from you... :( Good night, sleep tight, don't let....well, just try and get some sleep.
