Let Me Introduce You...

...to "Bunny Ride, Go!!" my very first vinyl art figure by 3D Retro (sculpted by October Toys)!! The big release is at San Diego Comic Con at the end of this month - I'm so excited I can't sit still!!






Bunny Ride, Go has been in the works for a while now, it was really hard to keep it a secret! She's designed from a painting of mine titled Darkness Keeps A Steady Hold (above). Bringing her to life was really fun! Since the whole process was new to me, I really put my faith in 3D Retro and October Toys and I'm BEYOND THRILLED with the outcome!!



I can't get over the glossy bright candy-colors - it stayed so true to my work. And wait til you guys see the grin on the Bunny Ride...

Each figure comes with a tiny strawberry print (that makes me squeal!) to boot!!
There's only 100 pieces, so seriously - get em while they're hot!!!

And Such Is Life

As I mentioned in my last post, the Corey Helford Gallery turns 5 years old this month. To celebrate (as only the CHG does), they're putting on the MOST FABULOUS group show of the year. Here is my painting titled "And Such Is Life", it's acrylic on wood and measures 40"x27" (inside frame).



This piece represents for me not only a turning point in my work, but the representation of growth and support I have drawn from my time with the Corey Helford Gallery. The last five years have taken me to new places, brought me close to new friends, and blossomed my inspiration for creating in a way I could have never dreamed. This piece embodies a swirl of life and love in my heart that I have felt in these experiences, and I am extremely proud of what it is.



I thank the Corey Helford Gallery for all they have done not only for me, but for my contemporaries, my friends, and the art community. I am humbled and more so, proud to be part of their family.




Show opens Friday, July 1st at the COREY HELFORD GALLERY in Culver City. This is gonna be BIG ~ if you can, come on by for the five year festivities!!

Instagram And Corey Helford Goodies

I've fallen in love with Instagram just recently (like I just joined this week). I was hesitant at first - knowing that the time I spend on my IPhone (on Twitter and Facebook and blogs and emails and Solitaire) is increasingly cutting into the time I spend looking at a real persons face as they talk to me! Buuuut....



...if there's one thing I love about all this social networking in my face - it's photo sharing (honestly, that's the main reason I have this blog!). I love photos, and even moreso - I love the look of old photos. ...Enter Instagram.
